My day in the office begins around 8 AM and the obvious applies: check emails, grab coffee, the usual small talk with colleagues, and then we make the magic happen! One of my favorite things about my position is the ability to be creative in the field of marketing! If you’ve ever listened to or watched a commercial that really grabbed your attention and thought, “Hmm I wonder who comes up with those things?” I’m happy to say it’s someone like me! An hour or two each morning is spent diving into creative concepts for commercials for the many clients depending on me to make their business shine and attract new customers and clientele.

Another very attractive aspect of what I do is having the ability to set my own schedule. The freedom and flexibility this provides is priceless! I am able to set my own appointments, which is not only beneficial on a personal level but very convenient for my clients as I can cater to their needs and timelines. Most of my day is spent “in the field” meeting with, talking to, and most importantly, listening to the needs of my clients. Relationship development is a critical aspect of what a sales representative does for their organization, and I absolutely love it! You need to be able to listen to what your client is trying to do and provide meaningful solutions. On a personal level, I have been able to convert countless simple business relationships into dear friends over my years in sales and you never know where those friendships can take you!

Once I have a solution for a client or prospect it’s time to close! If you like the thrill of the hunt, this is an exciting, sometimes challenging, but ultimately extremely rewarding element of my day-to-day process. The great thing about what I do is that opposed to just another expense for my clients, I am able to present investment opportunities designed to increase their business, bring more customers to their door, and make them more successful. It’s a win-win, when they make money, I make money! Leading me to another point, as a broadcast sales rep. you can set your own salary! If you want to make more money, you can make it happen through hard work and your ability to create those relationships to garner more sales.
